The EMSCULPT® Neo uses a unique combination of synchronised radiofrequency (RF) heating and HIFEM+ in a single treatment, the innovative combination designed to eliminate fat cells and build muscle. Can be used in muscle building mode only. Ideal for either aesthetic goals or functional improvements.
The EMSCULPT Neo is an advancement from the EMSCULPT, with the inclusion of Synchronised Radio Frequency and far more intense muscle contractions. For treatment, EMSCULPT Neo applicators with synchronised RF electrodes are placed on the body where they emit RF heating and high intensity magnetic fields simultaneously. RF selectively heats the fat in the target area to a higher temperature (42-43°C) than the skin and muscles, which leads to breakdown of the fat (lipolysis) with residues of the cells slowly removed by the body. In addition, the HIFEM+ technology induces 20,000 muscle contractions in a single 30 minute session, at an intensity level not achievable during a voluntary workout. While fat cells are being targeted by the RF heat, the muscles are also warmed, which in combination with HIFEM+ technology, increases the hypertrophy or muscle growth, and increases muscle fibers (hyperplasia) in the target area.
Synchronised RF heating can also be reduced to warm the muscles without inducing fat reduction if muscle building without fat reduction is the goal. Treatments goals can be primarily aesthetic or functional improvement, or a combination of both.
Clinical studies suggest, after 3 abdominal treatments with results measured 3 months after the final treatment:
- Muscle growth of 25%, a level equivalent to 12 to 16 weeks of resistance training, 30% fat reduction
- 19% improvement in diastasis recti (abdominal separation) – if lower back pain is experienced in combination with muscle separation, then treatment of abdomen and glutes is recommended
- An average reduction of waist circumference of up to 5.9cm, when fat reduction mode was used in combination with muscle building in the abdominal area.
