What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

We understand that you’re busy and your availability can change. We ask that for all non-surgical appointments you provide 72 hours’ notice so that we can reallocate your time. Less than 72 hours’ notice for a change or cancellation of appointment will result in forfeiture of your $100 prepayment.

Why is LED light therapy helpful for ageing?

LED therapy acts on the fibroblasts, or skin cells responsible for collagen production.

Will I be exposed to UV rays during my LED therapy?

No, harmful ultraviolet rays are not present.

Is LED therapy suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, in particular the anti-inflammatory properties in the 520nm and 830nm wavelengths are helpful for skin sensitivity.

Is LED therapy useful for rosacea/redness, and breakouts?

Yes, LED therapy can reduce inflammation and target bacteria, as well as strength capillary walls reducing the appearance of flushing and broken blood vessels.

Can LED Therapy be used with old scars?

It is safe to use with older or matured scars, however, scar optimisation is best achieved by using LED light therapy with wounds that have not yet healed or scarred. How many treatments do I need to see results?

You will likely see visible results after at least 1-2 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. This is in contrast to traditional IPL, which typically requires at least 5-6 treatments. How quickly you see results will depend on the treating concern and the extent of treatment required.

What areas of the body can be treated with BBL®?

Do I need to apply a topical anaesthetic before BBL®?

It is typically unnecessary as BBL HEROic’s™ sapphire crystal keeps the epidermis cool during treatment while allowing light to reach its target safely.
